A Call to Reinvent Yourself

This is a call to embrace the change you cannot avoid. Reinvent yourself to lead the change, for your business, your career, your life.

My colleague, Adrienne Guerrero of Positive Delta and I recently facilitated a pandemic power lunch series on leading through change. In conversation we noted the degree to which we are all tempted to wait and see how this all shakes out. And this is a community of proactive people. Yet even in a group of proven leaders, the “wait and see” resistance is palpable.

Change has always been difficult for professionals. And change leadership has grown as a discipline as the pace of change has accelerated beyond belief in this century.

But THIS is the first time in my career that 100% of professionals are consciously aware, like it or not, they are in a major change initiative.

I was thrilled by the opportunity to interview Dr. Nadya Zhexembayeva, whose life work is helping businesses reinvent themselves deliberately. Our conversation was delightful and filled with tips on the mindset, heart set and skill set to embrace change and reinvent yourself to thrive amid difficulty.

The conversation will be posted around mid-March. There is no need to wait to tap her energy and wisdom. Below is a link to her TED talk as well as a free 85-page preview of her latest book,

The Chief Reinvention Officer Handbook: How to Thrive in Chaos

“Here is the deal. You do not have a choice. Whether you like it or not, you and your business will have to face more change, more disruption, more crisis than ever before. The only choice you have is whether you will fight change, whether you see it as your enemy in a desperate attempt to hold on to your past or if you embrace change and make it your biggest opportunity.”
